They should know exactly what they are attending. If there is no such mention of detail, the parents will just be confused and in the end, may feel like they have wasted their time and it is not the kind of thing that they wanted. It is vital for the organizers to mention details since it will create a lasting impression on the visitors.
A sign-in sheet should be very organized. The header should be in a big and bold font, such that it can be seen clearly by all. The details regarding the place or anything can either be mentioned in a few sentences just below the header or can be attached or mentioned at the back. It is better to make use of the first option.
